Post-It Notes to Self
Jun. 16th, 2010 10:13 pmHead down, butt up relieves the discomfort- yeah, it's def my gallbladder, I am neither crazy nor dying of some mystery CSI or House-worthy parasite. Will try to tone down fat in diet, just like doc told me to, and keep it in mind as the elective surgery to be had if I stumble into good fortune.
Dad seems to be getting along pretty well in the hospital- he's not as belligerent as he has been in the past, and while he's not happy to be there, he's not pushing with near the hysterical strength to get out as the first time. He's my dad- it's weird to say that he's acting less childish than he has in a while. Hopefully we'll get to the cause of whatever keeps screwing with his kidneys and we can get past this point and continue in on an even or possibly even upwards keel. And even if things go south- my grandmother was one of the first home-dialysis patients, for thirteen years before she got a transplant. So- I would love for things to be all la-de-da happy and healthy, but considering that's as likely as winning the lottery, I can work with what's in front of me barring further kicks in the teeth.
That said, Origins next week! I get to help crew the larp event, and maybe even use my costume to be a boss-fight! Ooh, I should make some packets this week as well as do laundry...
