Weirdlet

It's one of those things where I waver between 'it's crack' and 'it's crack as compared to what our norm is, but I declare it a known possibility within its context'- mostly I've just been thinking of it as Kuei was presented with a Politically Important wife who was explained as being a little bit odd, very tragic, but it would be rude to make comment on it- and he's kind of okay with it, as long as she's happy. And I think Zuko does kind of like Kuei, but it's totally through the filter of the mindbending, and it pisses him off that some of the little kindness he's known is just another vileness by someone else's hand.
