I think I realize what really bothers me about this. Is a suspension really the best way to good employeedom out of a new hire, rather than taking them aside and explaining that this, this and this need to improve? It seems- equal parts overkill, and an unsubtle invitation to not come back. I think I may have just been culled out of the multiple new hires.
Still- I learned a lot here. I'll still make the effort to get back in, but definitely keeping my eye out for something else.
