Hurrah

...well- there's a lot of things I could say about now.

I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop, or I was a few hours ago.  The man who seems sane, wise and together has won the election.  It's been eight years of this crap.  I was figuring either things *had* to go up from here, or things would go very far downhill, very fast, by dint of there being enough people who either didn't get it or actively supported the way things had been going making the decisions.

This is so cool.  And yet I still retain some rightful fear of what's going to happen now- will the government cooperate?  Will things get done?  Will another big disaster show up early on in the presidency?  Obama's got the humane ideals I love, but can he get things into shape?

I hope so.  I have been so utterly scared of what could result from the current administration if things went on without change.  I still am.  But I *hope*- that Obama can juggle things with the grace and humane spirit and quiet competence I've come to see around him.  Things can get so much worse- but maybe they can also get better.

Here's hoping.
