Sun Child- Well Dang, Now That's Just Eating My Brain...

So, someone asked an excellent question that I need to figure out an answer to.

How *would* the Ember Island Players treat Zura in the Sun Child universe version of "The Boy in the Iceberg"?  Is it possible to interpret/misinterpret her character and situation in a humorous way?  Would she be written as an easy girl, as young and foolish, or possibly in a sympathetic light?  (I'm not sure Pu On Tim can handle that level of character complexity, but it would be interesting to see that mixed in.)

It's easy to make fun of teenaged boy shenanigans.  Harder to do so with a teenaged mom and have it come out funny.  I'm a bit stumped.

I think you can play it both ways. Just think about the guys in our world, and how they would react to a pregnant teen. It would be expected that they would treat her like easy because they're boys and young, but I think this would be more awesome if you would play it a different way. Use the stereotypes and turn it on its head. Also, girls are far more vicious about these sort of things than guys. And guys tend to take their cues from the girls, which is so bizarre it hurts my brain. Also, there is Azulon. I think he might enjoy messing with his sister. :-)

Ember Island could make Zura out to be a total hippy Earth Mother type. Ridiculous and utterly unrelated to reality, but funny.

Haha, whoops, sadly I have no ideas >_>

I have this weird image in my head of hergiving a monologue on honor and when her daughter makes a noise she turns into a mushy, cooing over-the-top mother.

Oh god, you're right. Now I have that image in my brain. She carries baby pictures and shows them to *every*one.

And who shares uncomfortable details of diaper rash, pottytraining and sore nipples.

...I don't know. But I'd love to find out...?
I love that 'verse!

I think the switch from HONORRR!! to mushy would be funny, but dealing with comic possibilities for circumstances of conception seems more fraught...
