There were trading cards that circulated prior to the series' debut (http://www.musogato.com/avatar/icons/ecard-gran.jpg). It's somewhat questionable, because it doesn't name Kanna as Kanna (just Gran Gran) nor does it name Hakoda but it was officially licensed by Nick.
