Hm.

More 'Hm' moments in writing.

First- what sorts of things are Freedom Fighters suited to doing in the big city?  I know there's a million little side-jobs and starters that someone could be easily hired and fired from, but that's just it- they're kind of all blending together.

In other news, am working on a big chunk of continuance for Calicojane's request on the mpreg meme.  Darn this clunky dialogue!  I've got the good dramatic bits but the connective tissue is weak.

I have this sudden image of Jet et al. as street sweepers and Jet getting violently mad when someone litters and shaking his fist.

Or they could be resurrection men for Ba Sing Se University's autopsy theater! It's illegal, gruesome, the pay stinks, sounds like Jet's kind of work! Also, it's almost always done in small bands of two or three.

Or they could be pigeon-rat catchers. They're good with traps. Nah.

...Oh you darling woman, you've saved me. I didn't even *think* of that. I've had the mobster thinking Jet's got potential but he's just too much of a crazy fucker, but all the lovely vile Victorian jobs-!

I agree. I just can't see Jet doing well in the mob. Getting scouted out, yes, but actually doing well, no. He's too "screw the chain of command, I'm the leader, we do things my way" for crime organized beyond the small gang level.

I'm glad to help. God, if Zura found out... Methinks she's got enough aristocratic sensibilities left to make him scrub himself raw at the well down the block before he comes near the tea if she knew. "You, dead body, WASH!" "This is just one more way to get me to stay away, isn't it?" *roguish eyebrow wiggle*
