Zhao- is ambitious. He is, of course, loyal- because that gets him farther. The thought of being on absolute top of the heap is thrilling but he mostly manages to restrain himself to things he thinks he can accomplish in one lifetime.
And he has no time for those who fold, bend or break easily, unless it's in a way that gives him what he wants- cranky/stabby women he can deal with, it keeps him on his game. Sobbing ones freak him out if that wasn't what he was trying to do.
