I enjoyed this a lot, both the characterizations and all the details of dragon hatching. It is kind of mind blowing seeing Ozai being maternal. I think this is my favorite bit:

“If I cannot have them all, I will have the best!”

And from then on, it was said, Ozai slept curled around one shell alone, the rest pushed to the edge of the nest in despair.
