More on the socially acceptable part- it's not necessarily in a 'warning, sociopath' sort of way, but in essence- a noble should train to be powerful, skilled, tactically brilliant and to compete amongst his peers- mere death-dealing is a soldier's joy. It's necessary and to be done efficiently, but the 'noble purpose' of higher-class bloodshed should be emphasized, for defense or intimidation or to settle disputes. Ozai is a little too gung-ho for Azulon's tastes.
